Kamran Mammadov joined the tournament from 1/8 final and scored a confident victory against Croatia’s Tonimir Sokol (7:0). In ¼ final our wrestler won against the Iranian sportsman Mohammed Nurbakhishi (6:4). Without giving even a chance to Georgia’s Tornike Turkishvili in the semifinal (6:0), Kamran Mammadov reached the final. He had to compete against Russia’s Ivan Kuylakov for the gold medal. However, the last bout was not successful for our wrestler. Thus, Kamran became the silver medalist of the Universiade.

Scoring another victory against the German wrestler Damian Hartman (5:2), our wrestler reached the ¼ final. This time he won against Turkey’s Osman Kose (7:4). In the semifinal Elvin Mursaliyev had to compete against the Russian sportsman Roman Vlasov. This match was not successful for our wrestler.
