The 27th Summer Universiade will be held in Kazan, Russia on 10-17 July, 2013.
The senior freestyle wrestling national team is also considered to participate at the Universiade. In order to prepare better for the tournament, the coaches have decided to participate in the joint training camp with the Belarusian national team in Minsk from 23 June to 8 July.
14 wrestlers will participate in the training camp headed by the acting Head Coach Magomed Aliomarov, Senior Coach Firdovsi Umudov, coaches David Kurtsiya and Semyon Chterov. The team includes Mahmud Mohammedov, Yashar Aliyev (both 55 kg), Haji Aliyev (60 kg), Aghahussein Mustafayev, Ruslan Dibirhajiyev (both 66 kg), Jabrayil Hasanov, Ashraf Aliyev (both 74 kg), Mohammedhaji Khatiyev, Alexander Gostiyev (both 84 kg), Haji Sharifov, Sharif Sharifov, Khetag Gazyumov (all 96 kg), Jamaladdin Mohammedov and Aslan Dzebishov (both 120 kg).
