In the second day of the world classification tournament issuing licenses to the London Summer Olympic Games held in Tayuan city of China our national team has gained a next license. It is the 12-th license gained our national wrestling team.
Emin Ahmadov, competing on the weight category of 74 kg started to the competition from 1/16 stage against the Hungarian wrestler. Despite Emin, giving his rival no fair show was defeated (3:1), wrestling confidently in the next stages scored a victory in the tournament – 3:2, 3:0. Emin Ahmadov, scoring a victory in the matches against the Japanese wrestler Tsukasa Tsurumaki in 1/8 final (1:2, 3:0, 5:0), Mikhael Moysio in ¼ final (Finland) (2:0, 6:0) was qualified forsemi-final match. Our representative met in this stage with Vladimir Shatskikh, the world champion from Ukraine has given him no fair show (6:0, 5:1). As a result, our athlete, qualified for the final match has secured for himself a license to London-2012 Summer Olympic Games. In the decisive match against Aleksandr Kikinov, the wrestler from Belarus in the final match he has scored a victory and gained a gold medal.

The world classification tournament issuing licenses to the London Summer Olympic Games is held on April 27 though 29 in Tayuan city of China. According to the regulations, only 3 wrestlers on each weight category (finalists and one third place) obtain a license to London Summer Olympic Games.
The Greco-Roman wrestlers are intending to gain licenses for Olympic Games on 4 weight categories under the guidance of the coaches Shaban Donat and Turaj Huseynli. The first rivals of our Greco-Roman wrestlers who will joint the competition tomorrow are as follows:
66 kg
1/16 final – Rasul Chunayev (AZE) – Tamas Lorincz (HUN)
74 kg
1/16 final – Peter Bacsi (HUN) – Emin Ahmadov (AZE)
Other members of the Greco-Roman wrestling team - Shalva Gadabadze (96 kg) and Masud Hashimzade (120 kg) will join the competition at the last day of the tournament.
