CWC-2013 fifth day: 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals / PHOTO

The World Cadet Wrestling Championship continues in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Freestyle wrestlers in 42, 50, 58, 69 and 85 kg categories competed on the fifth day of the championship. Our wrestlers completed the day with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

42 kg
Farrukh Aliyev won against the Hungarian wrestler (3:0) in the 1/8 final. However, he then lost to the Russian sportsman (0:2) in the ¼ final.

50 kg
Mahir Amiraslanov
started competing from 1/16 final and reached the final without any obstacles, having easily won against South African (12:4), Georgian (12:4), American (11:4) and Polish (7:0) wrestlers. However, he then lost to the Russian representative in the final and became the silver medalist of the championship.

58 kg
Mohammedali Aliyev
also joined the competition from 1/16 final. He consequently won against sportsmen from Ukraine (5:0), Bulgaria (5:0, victory by fall), and the USA (7:0). In the semifinal he lost to the Turkish wrestler (2:4). Mohammedali Aliyev won the decisive match for the bronze medal against the Indian sportsman and completed the championship on the third place.

69 kg
Abdulmuslim Mukhuddinov
won against the Swedish sportsman (8:0) in 1/16 final, the Latvian wrestler (8:0) in the 1/8 final, the German representative (7:0) in the ¼ final and the Indian wrestler (7:0) in the semifinal and reached the final. Being one step away for the champion’s title, our wrestler competed against the Iranian sportsman. After a very tense match, Abdulmuslim Mukhuddinov scored a victory by fall (5:3) and became the world champion.

85 kg
Nurmohammed Hajiyev
consequently won against sportsmen from Ukraine (9:1), Hungary (7:0) and Kyrgyzstan, however the then lost to the Russian wrestler in the semifinal. Our wrestler competed against the Iranian representative in the decisive match for the bronze medal. Giving no chance to his rival, Nurmohammed Hajiyev became the owner of the bronze medal of the world championship.
