The Cadet European Wrestling Championship continues in Bar, Montenegro.

Cadet girls joined the competition in 38, 43, 49, 56 and 65 kg weight categories on the third day of the championship.

In 43 kg category Turkan Nasirova lost to her Russian rival in the very first match. However, the Russian wrestler reached the finals, thus our sportswoman received one more chance to compete for the bronze medal. Turkan Nasirova had to win over the Bulgarian wrestler in order to receive the bronze medal of the European Championship, which she succeeded to do brilliantly (2:0, 6:4).

Our representative in 38 kg category, Ulkar Babayeva, joined the competition from ¼ finals. However, our wrestler could not perform well. She then joined the repechage matches. After a hard repechage match against the Polish wrestler, Ulkar Babayeva won with the score 12:9 and continued to fight for the bronze medal. Her rival in the decisive match was the Norwegian sportswoman. Our wrestler finished the championship on the fifth place.

In 49 kg category Shabnam Ahmadova lost to the Ukrainian wrestler in the 1/8 finals. As the Ukrainian representative also lost in the next round, our wrestler lost all chances to win the bronze medal.

In 56 kg category Laman Gurbanova also joined the competition in 1/8 finals. However, she lost to the Turkish wrestler and could not continue competing.

Our representative in 65 kg category, Anna Kalantarova, held her first match against the Bulgarian wrestler. Our wrestler won 0:4, however, she lost to her Bulgarian rival in the ¼ finals. The Belarusian representative lost her next match and Anita Kalantarova finished the championship without a medal.
